When writing the personal statement, or an answwer to any PT graduate app question, is it ok to substitute the word "physical therapy" for "PT". Do you think programs will be this particular on how things are said?

I personally used physical therapy, I thought PT was unprofessional. But maybe it's acceptable at some programs.

I guess you can introduce physical therapy (PT), and then use PT subsequently to save room. My essay barely used it so an English major or someone with better writing skills should chime in.

I think in the case of a prose-style essay it would be better to just use the full word. If you were writing a piece of scientific literature you would of course use abbreviations (YWOCUA). But to assume that YWOCUA in a personal statement, I don't know...

:D
