I am in the process of starting the FAFSA for medical school and I have found conflicting information on whether or not you should add your parents information. I myself pay for my expenses and my parents do not plan to help finance my education (they didn't for undergraduate studies either).
Neither of the schools I was accepted to require that information unless you want to be considered for a few need-based scholarships.
I am hesitant to add their information because both parents make 150-200k each (nurse practitioner and engineer). I don't feel like they will consider that as someone who "needs" help despite my parents not actually financing my education now or ever. If I were to add the information would it hurt my final loan amount offer?
