I"m a little confused about glycolysis' GAP dehydrogenase reaction. If both the oxidation of NAD+ ( a negative standard reduction potential reaction) and the phosphorylation of GAP are endergonic, how is GAP dehygrogenase able to proceed? Maybe I am missing something?

Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase is exergonic under physiologic condition.

Physiologic ΔG/(kJ/mol) = -1.29
Standard ΔG°'/(kJ/mol) = 6.30
