Pure Clinical - no Basic Science

I have a question for anyone who has done one of the clinical research year off programs like Doris Duke. Are these programs completely clinical research? I am no interest in any lab research - my respect to all the people who do it, but it just isn't for me.

I read through the FAQ thread, and it seems that most of this is for basic sciences - only one I could see that would be clinical is Doris Duke - or did I misunderstand this?
