Concensus: NO, unless you are rich and feel like tossing around money, have nearly zero study habits, or never in your life taken a standardized test.

There arent as many study guides available as for the MCAT and other tests, but in a way that is a GOOD thing, less crap to wade through. Buy the Kaplan PCAT book, study it. You will be fine.

you don't need a study course. this exam is easy. study kaplan's and you'll do fine. i also suggest using some ap/sat biology study guides to supplement the material in there.

i have a different opinion. i just finished my 1st year and was so worried about the test in june. i took the online course and loved it. yes it was expensive but the piece of mind that it brought me was priceless. the book alone may have done just as good of a job but i was real impressed with the online course.
