Applying GS in the upcoming match and working on finalizing a program list. I'm not super geographically picky, but I am very interested in trauma and surg onc. Ideally I would go to a program that provides good exposure for residents in those areas. What programs would you all recommend looking into that might be within reach for me? I've got a list of about 25 programs that I have researched to death, but I wanted to see what others thought about different programs. A little about me:
DO student. No red flags. 3.85 didactic year GPA. All HP/H (with H in surgery) through 3rd year. Good evals with no negative comments in them. 3 GS letters with one more on the way. SSP (DO version of AOA), GHHS. Pretty involved on campus my first 2 years, lots of leadership on my CV including leadership awards and a scholarship for student leaders.
Step 1/Level 1: 231/685
Step 2/Level 2: 255/810
No published research, which has me really worried about my chances honestly.
Anyone have any recommendations?
