Private tutoring programs

Hi All,

I am considering using a private tutoring service to study for Step 2 CK. I've come across Med School Tutors and TestPrepNY/SF. Has anyone used any of these companies? What were your experiences, what did you like about the company, did you find it helpful? I'd appreciate any and all feedback! It's hard to decide what company or tutor is right, especially when you're spending so much money! Thanks!

Ideally, you should look for a tutor with high scores, experience, and demonstrated ability to teach. The major test prep companies tend to do a good job recruiting tutors with high scores, but teaching ability can be quite variable. Seeking a tutor with an established track record is a good idea. You can also try several tutors at once on a trial basis and go with the best.
