Pretty interesting to say the least.. My observations:

1) Biden is too old at this point.. Compared to his opponent, he just seems.. well 'weak'. He doesn't seem to have old energy and quite frankly cognitive abilities to engage into such debates.

2) Trump took his usual 'rudeness' even step further. Constantly interrupting; not respecting the host. The way he went after Biden's son; not denouncing far right or telling his supporters to keep quite during counting of votes; declaring the system rigged if he looses. It's pretty clear the guy is a narcissist. He only and only cares about himself.

Who do you vote for? Guy with questionable mental abilities or someone who is utterly self obsessed? Your thoughts on the debate?

Biden is more "there" than Trump, give me a damn break. Trump is living in an alternate universe fueled by sycophants.

That was the biggest joke I've ever seen. Just three old men talking over each other. The most unprofessional thing I've ever witnessed. Even the moderator was laughing when Trump interrupted every minute. The moderator had no control whatsoever. So embarrassing for this country.

It was completely pointless

They should turn off mics when it's not their turn and they should be required to answer questions.

Biden won't commit to anything.

The entire debate summed up:

Biden: Trump was the worst he failed at this.

Trump: You are the worst I am the best.

I hope the far left understands a Biden win means at a minimum their won't be a socialist in office for another 12 years.

There is little doubt when Biden has to retire that Harris will take over for another 8 years.

Best thing to do is stay home, let Trump win and pray a socialist can win the democratic nomination

Or even better, get rid of the party system. There is no reason why Sanders isn't on stage right now with his 15 to 20% support.

I can't believe Biden is the best candidate America can come up with against Trump. They couldn't come up with someone coherent? Even Bernie can speak.

When the boomers die off, we're going to wind up with President AOC. You watch. I'ma start my Cayman Islands offshore account while I can.

I’m more concerned he couldn’t even denounce white supremacy and told his armed followers to “stand back and standby” then proceeded to talk about a rigged election.

So glad I have choices in countries and that I live in California, but we still have white supremacists here so the assault risk remains real.

It’s a frigging mess. As much as I despise Trump, can I honestly vote for Biden with good conscience? I mean just look at him.. Very good chance Harris would take over as a president midway through given the shape Biden is in.

That denouncing white supremacy was weird. I think Trump wasn’t listening to his question and just misspoke. But this wouldn’t be first time. During Charlottesville, he has said “there were good people on both side”.

It would take a terrible candidate the likes I've never seen to get me to not vote for whoever is running against Trump. It doesn't even matter who it is. Boring, stale ass Joe Biden? Fine, he'll work. Any candidate in the fascism storm.

What a painful “debate”. Nothing of substance at all. What I thought was weird was trump going after Biden’s son. Should Biden go after trumps kids?

I also thought it was telling when trump said that cultural sensitivity training was unpatriotic and that it was crazy stuff.

Not gonna lie. There was one laugh out loud moment for me. About Trump telling to nuke the hurricane! Rofl

From economic standpoint, Trump is better. Let’s be honest here; Biden’s plan to lock everything down would pretty much cripple the economy. Trump has got it right on that one. Although, him saying healthy stock market means more job is pretty much BS. Lucky for him, most Americans don’t know the difference.

Who do you want on your side..a rapid dog or a passive bunny? Roy Cohn or John Lennon? I dont want to sit an have a beer with Trump and I dont like him...... I want him do his job....

Is Biden really the best the Democrats could offer? Hilary? ...... The old guard of the democratic party has not yet awoke to the new reality

Issue with current crop of Democrats is they are too far left.. Make healthcare free. Make schools free and forgive student debt. Make illegal immigrants legal and hand them free issuance.. I mean who the hell is going to pay for all this?

Obama and Clinton were kind of centrists. Trump is far right and I do worry that far right movement will get out of control if he gets 4 more years in the office. But his economic policy seems more sound than the rubbish Dems are constantly spouting. Also, China is becoming 800-pound gorilla in the room. Trump has shown the willingness to take a stand against them. Biden I reckon would just bow down to them.

Current Dem party has lost its way..

I am literally appalled to see that this great country cannot afford(systematically) to present better candidates for presidency.

My issue is HRSA not going after Eli Lilly and a few other companies for blatantly/unilaterally terminating contract pharmacies under 340b.

I suspect a lot of them are awaiting the election outcome, so from a financial standpoint I personally/professionally have more to gain from a Biden presidency.

Plus SALT will probably make a comeback if the senate also flips to blue. That should offset marginal tax increases.

But I’m more in the “Trump and his idiot racist followers will probably kill me at some point” vote bucket.

I don't really understand the notion that Biden's too old. They're only 3 years apart in age, and if anything, I would think Biden's much healthier.

Oh the mental gymnastics people will do to justify their decision they're already entrenched in.

If he's getting confused, I guess you should question whether he has the mental abilities to be president. Maybe he's too old for it.

Not really. If you look at the clip, he was constantly being interrupted by both Joe and Chris when he was asked that question. Not saying he is not at fault; but there is also a possibility it didn't come out the way he intended.

His comments during Charlottesville were complete disgrace on the other hand.

Doesn't really matter which candidate wins, nothing will change.

Taxes will increase a couple points, spending will continue to increase, nothing will be done to fix climate control, we all know abortions wouldn't become illegal anyways, and the list goes on

Probably better for Biden to win just so the media won't have anyone to blame.

I can’t believe people fall for this. In 2016, it was the invading Mexicans. Now it is the Chinese.

Trump has been in office for almost 4 years. Why hasn’t he “stopped” the Chinese already? He had to spend billions in subsidizing our farmers and what did we get in return?

US companies make $100B/year from Chinese consumers from Nike, Apple, Starbucks to GM. What is going to happen to their stock and your 401 k when they can’t sell things in China? If the US is going to stop making things in China, then prices are going to go up. How is the US going to have a service economy when US consumers must spend more on goods? No more going to restaurants. No more taking vacations.

The fact of the matter is the US and China are tied together at the head. The US can’t hurt China without hurting itself and vice versa.

So the answer is let China take complete control?

If it is that simple then why hasn’t Trump “stopped” them already? What do you think he is not doing right?

Look at how many tech companies that were founded by Asian Americans from YouTube, Zoom to Nvidia. I am talking about 6% of the US population here (22M). Now imagine 1.4B Chinese. What are they doing that we are not doing?

You can’t simply “stop” China. They have firmly planted their roots so their influence can’t be negated overnight.

Trump at least has shown the willingness to stand up to them by imposing tariffs. What other presidents have done anything about this issue?

I see Dems just completely ignoring this issue.

I don't understand how anyone can vote for trump.

He has failed at handling covid while other leaders have not.
He bashes obamacare but in 4 years has no plan of his own.
He has no plans for the environment.
He has no plans for education.

except for giving trillions to wall street and artificially propping up the stock market...he hasn't done much

Trump looked like a whiny child last night....and biden looked like a civil adult.

Sadly...so many low-Q americans see a whiny child as strong and alpha...lol

You care more about the process than the result. Where is the result?

Trade has always been a contentious issue. It used to be behind the screen negotiation. Trump is just making it a public fight for political gain. By doing this, he is making it harder for only China but also for long term allies like Germany to compromise with the US.

If anything, he is pushing China to be more self-reliant and not to depend on the U.S. Their short term pain is going to be their long term gain.

We don’t know the economic consequences of tariffs yet. Doesn’t mean it’s unnecessary. Someone has to take a stand and it has to start somewhere. I would prefer to have the man in the office who has shown courage and can take tough decisions in future if necessary.

Andrew Yang was the best. Trump would have nothing to attack him about. He is intelligent, articulate and had a good plan. But America is racist. The media didn't give him any air time and muted him during the debates. They didn't even include him in the list of candidates, even though he had higher numbers than some of the other candidates. But he is no politician, he doesn't have any drama and doesn't attack people - so that would be bad for ratings. It's literally a reality TV show.

TBF why would any non-white vote for Trump unless they're a self-hater.

I'ma write in my vote anyway 'cause it doesn't matter in CA

It's just funny how people still think Dems and Republicans still think their politicians actually care about them.

Sorry not funny but hilarious.

Biden has been around for 47 years and hasn't done a single thing.

Trump does exactly what I want from him, he lets me keep my guns and cuts my taxes. He goes after the illegals and I could go on and on.

Thank you President Trump

Agree, I would've voted for Yang. #Yanggang 2024. I would love to see Ben Shapiro run for prez at some point too haha.

Yay for supporting the killing of persons of color, proud boys indeed.

Keep in mind that the republican party was founded as the anti-slavery party and many people immigrated to America to escape communist/marxist/fascist governments which are the ideologies of the far left Bernie Bros and AOC +3. So the real question is why WOULDN'T people of color vote red? Plenty of reasons to vote for a party if you ignore who the individual you're voting for is.

So I don't get the appeal for Ben Shapiro. Is it that he is confident? Has good hair? Sounds smart?
I only watch clips and not his entire shows but he comes off as very book smart and his analyses are spot on in my opinion. People like him because he argues using logic and facts instead of gaslighting or speaking abstractly which is basically what American politics has become.

Check out his book 'True Allegiance', Ben shares a lot of his dark, unexamined assumptions about American society including a plotline justifying the police shooting of a black child, black protestors being the sole instigators of violence and federal agents sympathizing with armed militias. Obligatory joke, Ben Sha-p-word doesn't appeal to the better side of people's nature.

I have never been so embarrassed as an American as after this debate. An American president won't denounce racism. Why? Because part of his support comes from racists and people like you who make excuses for him. Don't send your people to my poll when I cast my vote. My ancestors fought and died for my right to vote. Trump is a military leader (commander in chief) just as much as captain crunch is. Dodges service, then makes fun of cmh winners and pow.

You think he is healthy? Doesn't exercise and eats big Macs while watching tv and tweeting.

Could you imagine a presidential candidate with a MBA and a PhD in Organizational Psychology debating them? Oh wait.... she wasn't allowed because polls (which didn't even give her name as an option) didn't show her at 15% or greater, despite the fact she's on all 50 state ballots.

I am a member of minority myself. This election is not about deciding who is your favorite candidate. It’s about deciding between lesser of two evils. I don’t think any sane person would claim they love either one of these candidates. Reason I am more than likely to vote for Trump is as follows:

1) Biden wants to lock down the economy. As someone who has family who owns their business, I have seen firsthand how devastating lock-down is for the small businesses. Uncertainty about paying bills and just surviving; laying people off because you can’t afford them any longer; and just feeling of gloom. I have seen it and have no wish to see that again. Businesses haven’t recovered, in fact far from it. However, they are doing just enough to get by right now. Another lock-down would pretty much guarantee bankruptcy.

2) As I explained above, how far-left wants to give out everything for free at the cost of people who are successful. They want to con lower-middle class and poor into thinking that rich and wealthy are evil and they are the responsible for their hardships in life, and they would punish the wealthy and get them money back which is rightfully theirs.

3) Foreign policy. As I mentioned, Biden would entirely ignore China issue. Look at how China is bullying their neighbors. Look at how they lied about impact of COVID 19. It’s not good for world politics in general if China goes unchecked.

There is lot to dislike about Trump. His possibly racist views. His denying of global warming and climate change. His disgraceful self-obsessed personality. And I am aware of the possibility of far right KKK going nuts if Trump gets 4 more years.

Trump isn’t healthy and he is too old. But that’s precisely the point; Biden is 4 years older even. I just didn’t feel like he showed any energy or willingness to stand up against Trump. I am fairly convinced age is catching up to him. And you have to consider strong possibility that Harris might taker over. How many people would be comfortable with that outcome?

Your status as a minority does not exclude you from being a racist and supporting one. I have heard the n word come out of plenty of Mexican mouths as well as other ethnic minorities practicing racism. Once again you minimize trumps racism "probably". Those who support him are just as guilty as he is.

Besides the fact that Trump is a completely terrible person, he completely failed when dealing with the pandemic. I feel people forget about how serious it can be when thousands of people were dying a day just a few month ago. Can we learn from history? The economy cannot get better without fundamentally solving the covid issue. He lies and bs his way through. I guess anyone can be selfish to only care about your own agenda. But Trump won’t care about you, maybe he cares more about his base for his own political benefit. He doesn’t play by the rules. How can a country move forward with a president like that?

I don’t think Trump is blatantly racist in the manner Steve King is for example. It is implied that he is somewhat biased but I don’t feel he is a white supremacist. In fact his son-in-law is Jew. White supremacists hate Jews.

I am not gonna change your mind on this as it’s set in stone already.

And the funny thing I am the white person other white people trust to share their racist views with in private. Of course folks who would never express these views in public. I support your rights more than you do yourself.
