hey, not sure if anyone knows this

I'm actually interested(seems unlike most people) in living in 2 different places for prelim and neuro. Here's the question/problem:

say I go visit UNC-Chapel Hill, UCSD, or Brown etc etc or many of the places that have set up medicine interviews for me on the same day as neuro, decide not to rank them for Neuro, match somewhere else in January, but still want to rank/goto their medicine program for prelim. Am I at a huge disadvantage? (especially vs folks who matched there for neuro/anes/rads etc). I really like what I've heard about some of these medicine programs but I'm not sure how to approach this, probably not wise on interviews to ask "in the event i dont rank here for neuro, will i still have a chance at your prelim spot?"

I only have a fair number of interviews in community programs not associated w/neuro, most prelim interviews are at places where i'm applying for neuro...

Community programs so far: Mount Auburn, California Pacific, St.Elizabeth(boston), Providence(portland OR), also if anyone knows anything about these places i'd greatly appreciate a comment

thanks everyone
