Hello everyone! After some long thought, predental has crossed my mind. Work-life balance is a big thing for my wife and I, and being a physician (while great) does not have a good work-life balance at all. I have graduated from UIC last May with a BS in Neuroscience and since I was a pre med, I have done all the requirements for dental school it seems along with cell biology, neurobiology and genetics. I have linked an Imgur link to my experiences (ignore shadowing and MCAT) and was wondering if anyone had any tips for me and this transition. Thank you!

Definitely the first thing you can do is to shadow dentists, it's pretty different from a regular clinical volunteering for medical stuff, and having shadowing hours is pretty much a requirement to even apply, so why not get started early?

Who says physicians don’t have good work-life balances? It all depends on the speciality.
