What are you all wearing for performing EMGs these days?

n95? gown? faceshield? regular surgical mask? nothing at all?

Prescreen patients for any symptoms or recent contacts
Mask for both the patient and myself

All of ours are getting COVID testing within 48 hours of the procedure. Then mask for patient and physician.

I think that would create quite a stir...

On the inpatient side, our therapists are just wearing masks, and they’re spending an hour in very close contact with each patient. RNs also masking. No gowns. Gloves just if indicated normally. Patients also masked, but tolerance/willingness varies (it’s hard to get a TBI to wear a mask)

Delicate flowers should prophylactically intubate themselves to avoid getting bad air.
Or go SCUBA rebreather and a dry suit.

always the helpful replies....

also, i dont farm out my EMGs because I actually want them done well.
