Hey everyone! Just wondering what my chances are with MD medical schools? I have a 3.6 gpa, (3.5sGPA), with 3 semesters of research, ( 2 publications), along with martial arts since I was 14 to today, (winning tournaments and continuous training), over 1000 hours of shadowing in both clinical and surgical, five LOR's from my martial arts instructor, school, biochemistry professor, religions teacher, and MD physician I shadowed, one and a half years of club, (honors bio club at school). However, I don't have much volunteer hours, (only 50 hours during one summer at orphanage which was majority filing work and paper work).
I do live in the Illinois area and I know that in-state schools are more easier for me to get into than out of state.
I will be taking my MCAT this May 2016, been scoring at least a 508-511 on practice tests.
Any chances?
