I know this may sound extremely ignorant but, what does PM&R stand for. I've been wondering this for some time now.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry).

I've seen numbers between $150,000-$160,000 for physiatrists in 3-5 years of private practice. Starting would be somewhat lower than that stated above, obviously.

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. If you do a search on here there have been numerous threads devoted to salary, job outlook, pain fellowships, etc. Some people on here have matched into it I know. From what I remember it was more than FP or IM, less than most specialists (cardio, etc.), very similar to Neuro. With a pain fellowship you make what an anesth does with the same fellowship-that is good money.
