Dear SDN members,
Dr. Gayathri Bhaskar, a fellow dentist who is doing MPH in Florida Int'l University , Miami was critically injured when struck by a car at the 16th Street entrance of FIU on October 7, 2003. She was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial. While her condition has stabilized, she remains in a coma and her recuperation will be long and arduous.
The family is seeking assistance from the community to provide monetary assistance for Gayathri's care as the FIU student insurance coverage has already been capped out.
