that's interesting...last year they waited until mid-December to send out interview invitations. Good to see they've gone from one of the latest to one of the earliest programs to respond.

congrats on having two good interviews set up by mid-October. the programs must have some strategy in mind by doing this--it'll be exciting to watch it all unfold.

this thread is bringing back memories of last year....especially the days when i'd come to these boards and find out about the program that sent out their invitations that day, and the sinking feeling in my gut when it was a program i either had yet to hear from or just flat out rejected me.

for those of you applying this year, the truth of the matter is that the invitations are all sent out in one bunch. If you come on these boards and find out that a few people were offered interviews from program "A" but you haven't heard anything from them, it's highly likely that your application has been rejected.

i don't know what's worse...finding out you've been rejected by the terse, impersonal email you get from some programs or learning of your rejection by checking these forums.

When i replied they only had the 7th open, so i turned it down b/c conflict and got waitlisted for the 21st. G-town is right around the corner!
