Hey-

One of my classmates is leaving to pursue a career in a different discipline of medicine. We are sorry to be losing this person, and her departure has nothing to do with the program itself.

We have been having trouble finding truly qualified applicants for this person's position, so I thought I'd put out some feelers. We are a super-star program, and want super-star applicants!

We are in the Pac Northwest, in a major metropolitan area. We are unopposed, and not an academic medical center. We are a small hospital in a large health system that really looks after its employees and has a strong mission. The clinics are five star.

The faculty is really super-cool, the learning is great, and it is an AMAZING program.

Please let me know via pm a little about you and your situation if you're interested.

Dear NW Kid;

I am an american grad who spent 11 months in a very competitive northwest family med program, and had to resigned for personal and professional reasons. Never failed a rotation, strong letters of support. Step 1: 232, step 2: 224. Extremely committed to FM and I am original from western Canada and would like to stay in the northwest. I am very personable and split with my program amicably. I think I am a very strong applicant, extremely passionate in FM, please send me a private message if you are interested and I will send you my email and my CV.

Hello, and thank you for posting this position.

I am actively looking for a PGY-2 position in family medicine.

I completed an internship in Oklahoma City in 2011 and due to family isues was unable to leave the state for residency.

I have stayed in clinic with one of my former intern year family medicine preceptors. Dr. K. Layne, working for him since then, and by agreement maintaining an unofficial attending/resident relationship. I have learned so much from him and appreciate what he has done for me. However I feel strongly about completing a residency program and obtaining board certification. At this time I am able to go anywhere for residency, and I am jumping at the chance to go into a program as a possible PGY-2, especially since I am already 3 years post graduation from medical school. Dr. Layne is more than willing to send you a LOR or speak with you by phone if you would like to here from someone else about me.

Thank you so much, and I am sorry you lost a good resident and friend to another discipline, they're hard to replace. I wish you the best of luck filling the position.

Hi,

I am a IMG on J-1 Research Visa, and have been working as a Clinical Research Associate in Infectious Diseases at a Univ Hospital in KY. I had to resign from a FP program in TN in 2009 after doing only 3 months of internship due to family situation back home. I have been actively trying to get back into clinical training since then. I do have a strong letter of support from my mentor from my previous program. I am willing to start over and have spend my past 3 years working hard to get back into a residency. Could you please provide me additional details, and also let me know if you need anymore information, that may be needed, so I can be considered for the position. Appreciate your reply!

I am currently finishing my surgery prelim year. I am also ECFMG certified, taken step 1,2,3 and a green card holder. In addition I have IRB approved research. In addition I was able to obtain letters of recommendation from my current program.
I am very interested in the position open,
Is the position still available?

Hello,

Is this family medicine spot still available and accepting applications? I am a surgery resident in NYC looking to relocate and transition to a career in family medicine. As I discovered, my skills are better suited for a career in primary care. My email is [email protected]. I would be happy to email you more information if it is still open.

Thank you!
