Asking for a friend,
Can anyone shed some light and insights on Penn State Medical Center Cards Fellowship program when compared to the two other major programs in the state namely UPenn (Philadelphia) and UPMC (Pittsburgh). She doesn't have a stellar profile, so matching into UPenn is far fetched but both Penn State & UPMC are within reach. While Hershey/Harrisburg is not a major population center, we've heard Penn State captures most of the patient population in central Penn and is a major referral center in that region
Also, how is the training like and is it more clinically focused or research based since she eventually wants to get into IC and is looking to gain significant clinical exposure. Does the program prepare you to go directly into PP? Secondly, how is it like living in the greater Harrisburg area?
