I am trying to email programs throughout the country looking for research opportunities. I was looking for advice on how to write these emails. Do i just ask if anyone needs help with research or should I send them ideas of my own/ things I have done (haven't done anything yet but am looking). Is it appropriate to cold email a bunch of programs? I am at a small community hospital for anesthesia residency with no home pain program and want to pursue pain medicine fellowship if possible. Are my chances low because I do not have a home pain fellowship/ not many research opportunities?
