Technology organizing group palm purchase for class

Has anyone organized a group purchase of palms (pre-loaded with software would be best) for your school? There's some interest in my class for doing this -- I'm thinking if we could get a good deal on them by buying them in bulk along with a group software discount, I'd be willing to coordinate the purchase. I'm imagining it might be a gigantic pain in the butt to do, though.

So -- has anyone done this?

I guess it would be great. Try ePocrates, they have some PDAs with preloaded software.

We looked into it at my med school, but the price break was virtually non-existent, and everyone has different preferences. We didn't consider the software angle though. Good luck!
