Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am at the cross roads here, trying to decide which surg. specialty to go into. I've done rotations in Ortho and Neuro but can't decide between the two. I am in awe of the Brain. It's like a universe onto itself. many aspect of neuro are interesting to me, oncology, functional, peds. But I still interested in ortho, Being a former Mechanical Engineer, alot of the biomechaincs in ortho is intuitive. I have a good feel and understaing of the "why's" behind the procedures. To make matters worse, I still think about doing general with a subspecialty (perhaps Trauma/CC). If you all don't mind, I'd like to hear the views of others, what compelled you to go into ortho?
