NYC Health + Hospitals, the nation's largest public hospital system, is now recruiting for our next cohort of Clinical Leadership Fellows. The Fellowship is a 12-month program designed to develop the next generation of clinical leaders in quality, population health, and health care administration. It is a unique program for post-residency physicians that combines both academic and practical learnings and hands-on experiences.
Fellows will spend 70% of their time on fellowship activities, which include supporting the strategic initiatives of the central administrative office in which they are placed, attending a speakers series with healthcare leaders and experts, participating in system-wide leadership meetings, and leading a quality improvement or population health project with direct mentorship from Clinical Leadership Fellowship faculty. The remaining 30% of their time will be spent delivering care in their clinical specialty.
We believe this is an excellent opportunity to develop up-and-coming junior physicians, retain graduates of NYC Health + Hospitals’ residencies and recruit the brightest external candidates, giving them career development opportunities in quality improvement, population health, ambulatory care, and other aspects of healthcare leadership. The program is open to both internal and external candidates.
