I had a patient say that eye-buy-direct let's you get an "high definition" feature where it adds -0.50 DS OU to your prescription? Any optometrist knows that this wouldn't work at all for a presbyope, and even then is less than ideal for optimized comfort. Is this true that the general public can alter their prescription as they see fit through these online retailers? Sounds harmful and shady. She showed me her receipt, and staring at me was a stronger minus srx than I prescribed. How is something like this allowed?

She got this and blue-blockers to help her computer job. What a joke.
