I want to apply for this cycle but do not want to rush it if there is not a chance I will get in. I have a lot of activities and experience such as being a scribe, research, volunteer work, non-clinical work and leadership positions.

Is a 497 your only mcat? Without retaking the mcat and doing a lot better your chances are pretty much zero.

Well your 497~23 on the old one test and your GPAs are average at best so I'd hold off this cycle. Of course you don't mention if you are applying MD, DO or both. But even so that MCAT is very low. You need to study and retake when you are scoring at our near your target goal consistently on protests. But only when you are ready. Another bad score and ...
