Anyone hear any interview invites yet? Most still have yet to download my application. Let's add as we hear.

I received an aknowledgement email from methodist today. Did anyone else receive one from them today?

What do people think about the Lenox Hill program? Any feedback on it?
 
UNC still without funding as of now, hopefully they will take someone next year. Its a great program but this is part of the reason you need to look carefully at programs. General surgery often controls the finances...

UNC lost funding and is going back to a fellowship instead of having the 0+5. Shame too, their integrated residents are head and shoulders beyond other trainees at the same level

Has anyone that was invited to interview at Georgetown received confirmation? I received an out of the office reply from the email address provided in the email and I just want to make sure. The reply said that she would be out of the office until 10/12. Thanks!
 
3/4 of my LORs are in (Director of VS at my hospital, Program director of for the vascular residenc, and junior attending VS, my "big name" letter which is also my most personal is not in yet). MSPE goes out Novemeber 1st across the country.

I called Georgetown to try to at least speak with someone in the office and I was told that no one in the office could either schedule an interview or even check the schedule to determine whether or not there were spots open still for a given date until the one who is "out of office" comes back.

I emailed the woman who actually sent out the Georgetown invites today and she verified that the woman who's out of the office WILL be back Wednesday and that none of us missed anything. She just said to make sure that I had emailed my preferences to her.

Also, I did not get an official confirmation from Indiana but I had to email today to actually change my date preference order and I did get a quick reply back from her saying that was fine. But no, no official confirmation on that one.

And yes, all of my letters of rec are in as of sometime last week.

I called Georgetown when I first got the invite and got that e-mail back, this is the same response that I got.
 
Indiana will send out formal confirmation by the end of the week, but they are replying to emails individually in the meantime.

Northwestern apparently interviews during the 3rd week in January. Invites won't go out until December.

Where did you hear UW was 12/9? If so, looks like I'm going to take the redeye from Seattle to make it to NYC for Sinai as those were two of my top choices...

I was told by one of the NW integrated residents in September they were looking at 1/21 as the date for interviews.
 
Washington has it posted on their website that they will send out invites around November 7 for a December 9 interview date. I think quite a few of us will be taking that flight...If history serves it should pretty much be a similar group of people going to most of these places!!

How many are you guys applying/getting offers/going to as far as integrated?

A vascular resident told me the integrated interviews are more fun than others. Apparently it's the same 15-20 people at every interview. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here on the trail!
