Hi,

I Have completed my MBBS (Under-Graduation) and Post Graduation in Orthopaedics. MBBS course is 5.5 years, while orthopaedic residency is 3 years.

Now I am interested in learning arthroscopy. I have undergone 6 month arthroscopy training in INDIA, and 2 months in ITALY.

I want to come to USA for gaining further experience in arthroscopy.

However i Dont want to give USMLE as i wont be able to clear it with good marks as i have not studied other aspects of medicine than orthopaedics since long.

What are my options?

I'm pretty sure you have to give your USMLE regardless. Higher training in the U.S. means further specialization and in order to get into those courses, the USMLE is needed. How else would you be able to pursue a medically-related course without U.S licensing credentials? And you would definitely need the USMLE exam if you wanted to practice later in the states...
