Hello NYCOM dress to impressors:

Just wanted to know what the dress code was for men @ NYCOM.

Are you allowed to wear jeans? polos? scrubs? T-shirts? shorts? sneakers? sweatshirts?

Need to know what to shop for before school starts. Thanks for your help!

It's pretty laid back at nycom, but they supposedly frown upon looking like a slob. You'll get told of a certain dress code in orientation, but it hasnt really been enforced to date. Some people look very presentable in khakis, polos, etc, and others show up every day in sweats/scrubs and sneaks. The OMM dress code is enforced however, consisting of shorts for guys and backless shirt/sports bra for the ladies.

The guys wear Ts in addition to the shorts right?
So jeans and sneaks are ok for lecture?

and during Anatomy lab do people change into scrubs?

For OMM, guys are often required to take off their shirt while their partner is working on them; when they're playing doctor, they can put it back on. It's not a big deal. You feel funny for the first 5 minutes, then you dont even notice it. Girls wear a backless shirt or sports bra.

Jeans and sneaks have been fine for lecture this year.

For anatomy lab, you change into scrubs which you will probably want to burn when the course is over. You'll be given a locker at orientation.
