I know the lifestyle is pretty damn sweet, but there is little to no information regarding salaries. Any ballpark ideas on academic versus private practice?

Use MGMA data based on RVU production. that will give you average numbers. Everything is based upon your productivity, contracts, and negotiable products.

Academic anything can make more than private practice anything and vice versa.

Average ENT makes about $250,000/y
90% percentile may be around $450y
