Please post of a specific program that you know of, and how long it takes, including the pre-neurosurgery surgical year...ie...from the minute i step out of medical school, how long it takes to finish a neurosurgery residency.

Several sites say 5-7 year. does this include the internship year?

Is a spinal surgery fellowship required after neurosurgery to perform spinal surgeries?

How long is an interventional radiology fellowship?

What about a cerebrovascular fellowship?

and a pediatric fellowship?

The total length of neurosurgery residencies range from six to eight years including the internship year. Most programs put this information on their web site.

Spine surgery is part of every residency program and most neurosurgeons perform spine surgery without having done a fellowship. Fellowships are available for increased training in spine and are usually required for those seeking to find a job as a spine surgeon in an academic center.

There are no pre-set lengths for neurosurgical fellowships since they are not separately boarded (except for pediatrics) and there are no set requirements for length. In general they are usually 1 to 2 years in length.

No

Neurosurgeons can't do interventional radiology fellowships. They can do interventional neuroradiology fellowships. 1-2 years, these days almost all 2 years for someone from neurosurgery.

What about a cerebrovascular fellowship?
1 year

and a pediatric fellowship?
1 year
