Neurosurgery in a mid size town.

If I work in a city with a hospital that doesn't have a lot of trauma can I have a more normal lifestyle. Like is this realistic? A private practice in a mid size city (population 96,000) with hours Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 Friday 8:00-1:00.

I understand I will be on call but I won't be getting called in that much most likely. The hospital I'm talking about doesn't have a lot of critical emergencies for neurosurgery.

If lifestyle is the most important thing to you you can have it. It will cut into your operative and financial satisfaction however.
