Neural Crest Question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
1. cells of the medulla of the kidney
2. cells of the adrenal cortex
3. preganglionic sympathetic cell bodies
4. postganglionic sympathetic cell bodies
5. preganglionic parasympathetic cell bodies

I can eliminate 1 and 2 for sure. My hunch is 5 is correct but I can't seem to find a good list of what the neural crest makes. Thanks :)[/QUOTE]

i would say 4, since postganglionic sympathetic cell bodies are adrenergic, and neural crest cells give rise to adrenal medulla which gives rise to cathecolamines (wrong spelling)

I think its 4 coz neural crest cells give rise to sensory ganglia of cranial nerves and autonomic ganglia ,since post ganglionic cells arise from autonomic ganglia i pick choice 4 as my answer.
pls correct me if im wrong

This is a deceiving question typical of the exam. The answer is four postganglionic sympathetic you have to be careful with one because neural crest also give rise to cells of the medulla but not of the kidneys but the adrenal gland. Hope this help.:D
