Need info about studying medicine abroad

Hello, I would like to know my son's options to study Medicine in Austria, Germany or Switzerland.

He has double citizenship ( US and UE ) .

What does he need to do to get accepted in one of the university from these countries . I intend to tutor him in german language .

Does he intend to want to stay in the EU? Or ultimately come back to the US for residency? That is the first and foremost most important question.

I want him to be able to practice in US too so thinking to do his residency in US .

Then I would encourage him to apply to US based schools. Unless his EU citizenship actually gives him the backup of doing residency in one of those EU countries, and then live there for his career - going abroad isn't the best option if you/he wants to do a residency in the US.
