Can a Canadian undergrad. apply to US Med Schools, what are the limitations?
i know its a very weird question, but still if someone could answer that

Dude, definitely. Have you looked into AMCAS (like OMSAS for the US)? Look at the grade conversion data for your marks from Canadian schools, that's all you need to worry about logistically (and ensure you have all the prereqs for US schools).

First, it IS more difficult to get in to the majority of US schools, which treat Canadians as internationals and so have very few spots. However, some schools treat Canadians better, especially private institutions, which will often not take your international status as a penalty at all in the process.

Secondly, financial aid is very difficult to come by. Tuition at US schools is much higher than Canadian schools (think 30K+ US a year). Most US schools will not give any fin aid to Internationals, including Canucks. Also, you will not be eligible for Federal Stafford Loans...I think there are CANHELP loans you can get, not sure about the details (google it).

Good luck, it's not that hard to apply to US schools. Hope you're rich though.
