We both have a B.S. in the same physical science, 508 mcat, similar amount of research experience, and similar gpa. Our personal journey towards a career in medicine is very different however, during our gap years we decided to teach. I sent the primary app to all schools in my state but submitted secondaries to only two schools. He did not submit his app last cycle. We would ideally like to attend school in the same state but we are okay with branching out. We wanted to apply to the same schools to maximize our chances of being accepted to the same school but we are fine with this not happening. Since I'm reapplying, should we apply to different schools? Am I at a disadvantage?
My partner and I have a similar app. I am reapplying but he is not. Should we apply to the same schools?
