Hello. I just got accepted to UC Dublin where they offer a MVB (Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine) degree rather than a traditional DVM in the US. The program is accredited by the AAVMC and requires a Bachelor's to enter. Does anyone know if this would affect my chances of getting a job in the US after I graduate? Thanks!

P.S. As a side note: If I did practice in the US would I still be called "Dr."?

It should not affect your chances of getting a job at all. All AVMA accredited schools have to meet the same basic standards and their graduates are considered to be on par with one another. You will be able to practice in the US as easily as if you had graduated from a US school, and will be just as competitive for internships and residencies if that is something you are interested in.

You'll be called "Dr" in the US because that's the convention here. The name of the degree doesn't matter. You'll be a vet.

Congratulations!
