Could anyone elaborate on what admissions thinks when they see multiple MCAT scores?

well it depends on what they are. If they show no significant improvement then it shows that you took it just to take it again. If there is a decrease in the score that’s also red flag.

you should only take the MCAT when you are scoring within your desired range taking full length practice exams. Preferably only once.

some schools average your attempts, others say they only consider the highest attempt, but they see all of them on your application so there’s that.

At my school, we average scores, and look for increases. We also know that MD wannabes will hope to increase their scores to become more competitive. We don't take that personally.

We DO have problems with multiple retakes with no improvement. That tells us you've hit a plateau, and brings judgement into question
