Hi everyone,

anyone know if doing surgery residency in the states, given the 80 hour 'guidelines', moonlighting is possible? And if so, how soon in the residency years...for those of us who want to get a jump start on loan repayments/savings?

thanks!

From the orthopods I've spoken to, there's no time to moonlight. MOst hospitals won't let you moonlight until you have a license, and you won't have that until after your intern year.
