Can any type of memory stick, ie Sandisk etc, be used for Sony Clies?
Thanks!

The Clie (all of them) only come with Memory Stick slots, and usually only one of them. Personally, I would recommend a Toshiba PDA.

so, can i use other brand memory sticks?

Yes - it is a standard of flash memory and several brands make it... Sony (obviously), Lexar, and ScanDisk are the main ones

They're nice if you want to store large databases like the Free PDR program or mp3's.

Isn't there a clause in the warranty that if your PDA shorts and you are using a Non-Sony Memory Stick, your warranty is void? If you are still under warranty, you might want to take this under consideration.

If that was the case, I'd take the stick out before I sent it back to them for repair. Which I would do anyway....
