If you paid for membership of societies like the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) or the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and have attended their national conferences would you add them in the "Membership in Honorary/Professional Societies" section? Or should you be in a leadership position in these organizations if you list them in ERAS in this section?

I listed it. If nothing else it shows interest in that field.

I also listed that. While it’s less relevant on the med school level, you generally do list membership in societies on a professional CV as it gives people an idea of what conferences you go to, etc.

You should probably list it if you really are a part of it but otherwise I highly doubt it will have any effect on your application. I am currently in the process of review applications and I have to get through a certain amount in a limited amount of time. I have very specific things I look at which I am sure anyone else who has to do hundreds of applications would too. These things like hobbies, professional societies don't carry too much weight.
