Seems to a simpleton like me this would be a good a place
as any to start the "reform" process of medicare without
effecting pt care and doctor reimbursement:confused:

The problem with fraud is many well-meaning docs get caught in the cross-fire of over-zealous fraud investigators.

Medicare takes the standing that every error is fraud. If it's in their favor, they'll wait and see if you catch it, if it's in your favor, you'd better report it ASAP or they attack you like a criminal.

Yes, they need to go after the people submitting false claims. Sometimes, its easier for them to take out little guys who make mistakes.

enlightening article...it's good the feds are starting to get their act together...hopefully it will be directed at the bad guys and not innocent docs who make an honest mistake

it's definitely unfortunate what these yahoos did in Florida.

However, unfortunate for us, I think this means extra red tape FOR ALL of us. :rolleyes:
 
if the business isnt owned by a doctor, they have no skin in the game.
