Can anybody recommend any books along the lines of "How to get into Medical School" that were useful to them? Just looking for the basic guidelines or "insider secrets".

Thanks in advance!

Go to a large-chain bookstore and check out Kenneth Iserson's Getting Into Medical School and see if it fits what you're looking for. (you can find a general description of the book on amazon.com). I have a copy of his book on Getting Into a Residency which seems helpful. :luck:

no. i don't recommend any of them. i bought three separate books on the topic (i was bored + got them all for <$10 combined on half.com). they were the kaplan "admissions advisor," and the books by zebala and plantz. sdn is prolly better--more personalized, up-to-date info, larger cross-section of opinions, etc.

if you're curious, go ahead and go bargain-hunting. just don't expect much.
