Is there a cutoff number of interviews/rankings that can assure you of matching to A spot. For instance, will ranking 11 programs statistically guarantee you a spot at matching at one of them based on the number of applicants and number of spaces available?

one of the post from just a few days ago said that if you interview and rank 10 programs, you have a 99% chance. There is an analysis of this somewhere, I will see if i can find it--either in SAEM or EMRA website I believe. I knew I guy who last year thought 7 was the number--interviewed and ranked 8 and did not get in.

in medicine, nothing is guaranteed and nothing is impossible, right???
