Liberal Arts Electives

What do colleges mean when they say liberal arts electives? For example, CSPM says 12 semester units of liberal arts electives.

*shrug* Beats me. I'm going to a liberal arts college and it doesn't have any required classes at all, so everything's technically an elective.

Huh cause I would've thought that it's just anything past the required courses. Hm...so basically history and stuff are liberal arts electives?

Yeah, it's just normal gen ed classes.
