Letters of recommendation -Optometry

How would you approach this siuation? Just say an optometrist says they would feel comfortable writing a letter of recommendation for me if I send a list of extracurriculars and my gpa... I’m am just nervous because my gpa is lower than I had hoped.

You can tell them up front verbally and gauge their reaction. It's obvious they're just looking for material to write about in their LOR for you. So if they think your GPA is low then they probably won't mention it.
