Letter of evaluation

May be a stupid question, but does the usual required letter of evaluation for dental schools have to be from a general dentist, or could it be from someone such as an oral surgeon with a DMD degree?

It can be from a specialist as well (unless the school specifies general dentist on their website, which is pretty rare). Just make sure you have a good amount of general dentist shadowing hours.
