No, no. I haven't been accepted anywhere just yet. I just wanted to be the one to start the official thread, so that when the first SDNer in this cycle gets their acceptance, runs here excited to post, I can help shoot them down with "yeah you got accepted but you're still a noob, use the search function, there's already a thread for this."

1. shouldn't this thread be started by someone who gets the first acceptance?
2. there already were 2 sdn'ers with acceptances on the original "2007 Wall of Fame/Lame/Shame" or something thread

Touche.

Agreed. This thread is pre-mature. In any case, I think that we should wait until the weekend before Oct. 16th before something like this comes up. ED people are really a separate group.

1.) Texas 2007 Interview thread was started by someone with no TX interview.
Official EM thread started by someone without a match.
Official Phone/Online Status thread started by someone who just posted links.

Don't need whatever goes in the blank in the "Official 2007 _______" to start a thread.

2.) Well those people are posting in the wrong thread, because that must be torture - for people who got rejected and posted in the Wall of Shame to read about such early acceptances.

And although I'd agree with Haemulon that it is early, its always good to be prepared. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go wait in the shadows for the first accepted noob to start a new thread.

The first EDP acceptances will be on or around October 1st. So till then, try to keep the thread visible at the least.

I belive Oct. 1st is the last date for EDP acceptance. Not the first. There have already been some EDP acceptances.

I believe those that were accepted thus far have been Early Assurance (not EDP)--but yeah you are right, the LATEST they notify EDP is by Oct. 1st.

Yeah I agree that it is too early for this post.

And I believe you are right about the EDP deadline. I was accepted to the MSP program at Miami which I think is more like an Early assurance.

I got in to NJMS three weeks ago. They started accepting EDP applicants mid-August.

Too early. Just wait until some regular decision ppl start hearing.

Plus this thread has a bad start off with the first page filling with chatter about how this thread is pre-mature. Lets let it die and start a fresh one with a good format thats more official. (sorry eternal. It just my opinion, but I think that it is very unwelcoming/unofficial to have that huge image and rant about the search engine at the beginning). Borderline Troll-like motiveation for the thread it seems.

Obviously when the time comes and the acceptances start rolling in ER will just edit his first post and get rid of the big image.

I think we really need a mod to start and sticky the Acceptance, Rejection, Interviews, and Waitlist threads at the top so they're all available and don't have to be bumped all the time.

1.) Texas 2007 Interview thread was started by someone with no TX interview....

I started Texas 2007 Interview thread late July after I got my first interview invite @ a TX school.

On other news, waking up at 3:45am to get on a flight to goto work sux! Working on the weekend so I can go interview during the week...pricey?? Having access to high speed internet through your EVDO phone....priceless

Please put what you change in the title. It's easy now to figure it out, but when it gets really long, you won't be able to tell. Thanks.

I just put a space before my name. It was sort of irritating me, sorry. Congrats to everyone though.
