IVUS+TEE vs fluoroscopy in cardiac caths

What are the pros and cons of using IVUS+TEE versus fluoroscopy for navigation and visualizing of the coronary arteries? B/c a TEE can visualize the heart structure far better then a fluoroscope can --b/c it can show the heart chambers and the hemodynamics--, it think the combination of TEE and IVUS should complement or supplant fluoroscopy in cardiac catheterizations. Once the price gets down to a competitive level. But, what do I know, I'm just a lowly pre-med student who loves to read.
