Hi everyone,

I am IMG, graduated 2015. Steps score are 236/252 and 2nd attempt. I am doing research at Brigham and Women's Hospital since January, 4 observerships, 4 LOR and I feel ready to apply to Internal Medicine.

Is it a good idea to take the Step 3? I have been studying for it because I thought that it could help to eliminate my red flag (first CS failed), but I do not want to screw everything up either!

thanks in advance!

I am an IMG hoping to apply to IM in coming years. Just finished medical school In Asia.
I wanted to ask if research for IM ( without publication ) is considered important enough or is publication a must ? Do programs consider the 6 months or 1 year research as a positive factor while scrutinizing applications.

TIA.
