Is clinical volunteering worth adding to my EC list?
I just started volunteering 3-6 hours a week (variable) at a health centre as a patient transporter and therapeutic recreation assistant. Basically, I take patients (usually elderly or palliative care) to places around the hospital, get them water (lol), make conversation with them, and do activities and workshops (ex. baking, arts and crafts, etc.). By the beginning of the app cycle, I will have about 80-100 hours.
Is this worth including as clinical volunteering?
I am also working full time as a clinical research assistant in a very patient centered role (doing assessments, conducting brain stimulation, and assisting in the treatment room). I will have about 1300 hours from that.
