Understanding how difficult it is to get an idea of where to get data regarding the quality of IR training and education 
. A few of us on the SIR student council are are undertaking a project with the goal to gather information regarding the presence of of IR education and training in medical school/residency, with the hopes that we may share it with others interested in IR. We are in the process of creating surveys to send out to medical students, deans of medical schools, and residency program directors.
Some of the topics we are specifically looking at in our current draft of survey questions are:
current medical student exposure to IR/ # of IR student interest groups across the country, med schools/institutions with specific IR rotations, current residency programs with clinical IR practice models, # of residents from residency programs which attain IR fellowships.
In order to hear the voices of others interested in IR we invite anyone to post specific questions regarding IR training/education or associated topics which they might have.
