Investigator

stupid question but I am in pharmacy school and go damn clinical professor will write a LOR for me unless I do research with them. Anyways my professor I wanted to do research with mentioned one of his students became an investigator or passed some sort of test to become one.

Anyone know what he is talking about and how I can do this.
